Spore Germination Inhibitor
L-Methionine (M0099) is one of the amino acids known as a bacterial spore germinant.1) It has been reported that D-methionine failed to trigger spore germination in Clostridium sporogenes or C. botulinum but prevented germination induced by L-methionine.2)
