Some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have restrictions of contents in products because of their carcinogenicity. For example, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) in EU regulates 8 PAH compounds,1) and GS Mark certification in Germany requires testing of 15 PAHs.2) In addition, 16 PAHs are covered by the U.
