Application
Clemizole Hydrochloride: A Histamine H1 Receptor Antagonist with Anti-Virus and Various Effects
Clemizole hydrochloride is a histamine H1 receptor antagonist1). Recently, it is reported that clemizole inhibits hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication2), and also potently inhibits transient receptor potential channel 5 (TRPC5).3) In addition, clemizole reportedly can be used for the treatment of Dravet syndrome which is often caused by Scn1a mutations, a voltage-gated sodium channel.4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
