O-Desmethylvenlafaxine: An Active Metabolite of Venlafaxine Belonging to SNRIs
O-Desmethylvenlafaxine (desvenlafaxine, or ODV) is an active metabolite of venlafaxine [V0110] which belongs to a serotonin [S0370] /norepinephrine [A0906] reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). It is a potent inhibitor of neuronal serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake and weak inhibitors of dopamine [A0305] reuptake. It has no significant affinity for muscarinic cholinergic, H1-histaminergic, or α1-adrenergic receptors in vitro. (The product is for research purpose only.)
