Supplemental Product Information:
Product Information
- Volume/Quantity : 2 mL
- Product Form : Protein A agarose is supplied pre-swollen in 20% ethanol.
- Preparation : Recombinant Protein A was covalently coupled to agarose beads.
- Preservative : 20% ethanol
Description
- Protein A is a type I membrane protein produced by several strains of Staphylococcus aureus. It has high-affinity binding sites that enable the purification of IgG from various species such as human, rabbit, mouse, and bovine. Protein A Agarose is prepared using a covalent coupling method that maintains the stability and binding characteristics of the product.
Using our resin, human IgG can be eluted under milder conditions (e.g., pH4.0) compared with conventional methods.
Additional information is available on our website.
Applications
- Protein A agarose can be used for antibody purification.
Storage
- Protein A agarose should be stored at neutral pH at 2-8 °C in 20% ethanol or other bacteriostatic agent (e.g., sodium azide). The resin must not be frozen.
