Application
Rebamipide: A Quinolinone Analog for Gastric Mucosal Protection
Rebamipide (OPC-12759), a 2(1H)-quinolinone analog, is used as an anti-gastritis and anti-gastric ulcer agent. It has been reported to have various activities in the gastric mucosa, such as stimulation of prostaglandin and mucus glycoprotein synthesis, inhibition of reactive oxygen species, inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, and inhibition of neutrophils activation. Furthermore, inhibition of gastric tumor growth by rebamipide has also been reported. In addition, rebamipide is used as a therapeutic adjunct for the treatment of infections caused by Helicobacter pylori. For your reference, we also have a related synthetic intermediate [O0468] of rebamipide. (The product is for research purpose only.)
