Application
Stiripentol (STP): A Third Generation Antiepileptic Agent with Multiple Mechanisms of Action
Stiripentol (STP), a third generation antiepileptic agent, has multiple mechanisms of action. STP has recently been proved to increase the GABAergic transmission in animal experimental models. STP also acts as a potent inhibitor of CYP3A4, CYP1A2 and CYP2C19 and increases the plasma concentrations of many other antiepileptic agents. (The product is for research purpose only.)
