Application
5-Iodotubercidin: A General Protein Kinase Inhibitor
5-Iodotubercidin is a potent and competitive adenosine protein kinase inhibitor. It has been reported that 5-iodotubercidin inhibits CK1, insulin receptor tyrosine kinase, phosphorylase kinase, PKA, CK2, PKC, and nucleoside transporter.1-3) 5-iodotubercidin also inhibits LRRK2 (Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2) –G2019S that is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.4) There is a recent report, that 5-Iodotubercidin inhibits SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp).5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
