Application
Efflux pump research
4-Bromophenylboronic acid has been reported to act as an inhibitor of Staphylococcus aureus NorA efflux pump.1) The compound was found to potentiate ciprofloxacin activity by a 4-fold increase at concentrations ranging at 2-4 μg/ml against S. aureus 1199B, which overexpresses NorA.1)
