Diosmetin: A Flavonoid with Diverse Biological Activities
Diosmetin, the aglycon part of diosmin [D3908], is a flavonoid that has been found in citrus fruits. It has been reported to exert diverse biological activities such as anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and anti-tumor activities.1-4) In addition, it inhibits the cytochrome P450 isoforms CYPA1 and CYP1B1.5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
