Sweroside: A Bioactive Herbal Ingredient Isolated from Swertia chirata
Swertia chirata has been widely used as a traditional medicine.1) Sweroside, an iridoid glycoside, is a bioactive herbal ingredient isolated from Swertia chirata. It has been reported that sweroside exhibits diverse biological activities such as anti-bacterial, free radical scavenging, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-osteoporotic effects.2-5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
