Wnt Inhibitor

In tissue homeostasis including the maintenance of somatic stem cells, Wnt signaling plays a critical role.¹⁾ IWP-2 (1) is an inhibitor of Wnt production that impairs Wnt pathway activity in vitro with an IC₅₀ value of 27 nM.²⁾ Embryonic stem cell self-renewal was also suppressed by 1,³⁾ which reduces proliferation and maintenance in mouse Lgr5+ cells.^4,5) In addition, 1 promotes cardiomyocyte differentiation from human pluripotent stem cells.^6,7)
