MCC 950 Sodium Salt: A Potent and Selective Small-Molecule Inhibitor of the NLRP3 Inflammasome

It has recently been reported that NLR family pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3), a pattern recognition receptor, forms a complex called NLRP3 inflammasome in response to irritating metabolites and pathogens, and induces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, Interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18. MCC950 sodium has attracted attention as a potent and selective NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor which shows anti-inflammatory activity. (The product is for research purpose only.)
