Application
TBD-organocatalysed synthesis of pyrazolines
Typical procedure (solvent: CH3CN): Chalcone (214.5 mg), acetylhydrazine (98.8 mg, 1.2 eq.) and TBD (13.9 mg, 0.1 eq.) are introduced into a Schlenk tube under nitrogen. Then, anhydrous CH3CN (1 mL) is added at room temperature and the solution is heated at 60 °C for 24 h. The reaction mixture is allowed to stand at room temperature and concentrated in vacuo. The residue is purified by flash column chromatography (eluent: EtOAc/petroleum ether = 2:3) to give 1-acetyl-3,5-diphenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole as a white powder (216.4 mg, 82 %).
