[Brochure] Ionic Liquids

It contains the various organic salts that are used as ionic liquid, and it is also categorized by type of the cations.
- It is available to select from wide variety of the combination with cations and anions.
- Useful physical property data (Liquid or solid, melting point) are listed together with chemical structure.

[Brochure] Ion-Pair Reagents for HPLC

Recently, reversed phase partition chromatography using ion-pair reagents has been developed and utilized. The ionic samples form an ion-pair with ion-pair reagents in the mobile phase to become electrically neutral. The increase in hydrophobic character of the ion-pair results in a greater affinity for the reverse stationary phase and leads to sample resolution. TCI provides wide variety of ion-pair reagents. These qualities are placed strict control, then we believe they will satisfy you.
Here are the typical product groups;

HPLC Ion-Pair Reagents for Acidic Samples
LC/MS Ion-Pair Reagents for Acidic Samples
HPLC Ion-Pair Reagents for Basic Samples
LC/MS Ion-Pair Reagents for Basic Samples
Fluorimetric Ion-Pair Reagent for HPLC

Rh-catalyzed endo- and Enantioselective Hydroacylation of o-Allylbenzaldehydes

Stanley et al. have reported Rh-catalyzed endo- and enantioselective hydroacylation of o-allylbenzaldehydes. According to their results, by using [Rh(COD)Cl]2, (R)-(-)-DTBM-SEGPHOS® and NaBARF as a catalyst system, the desired hydroacylation reaction proceeds endo-selectively to generate 3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one products with high yields and enantioselectivities while minimizing the formation of byproducts from competitive alkene isomerization and progress of ene/dehydration pathways. exo-Selective NHC-catalyzed hydroacylations have been also reported by Glorius et al. in recent years, so this reaction can be used complementarily.

Metathesis Catalyst Usable in Water Media

AquaMet, developed by Grela et al., is a Hoveyda-type metathesis catalyst and suitable for water systems due to its quaternary ammonium group. AquaMet can be applied to the synthesis of E-olefins from corresponding internal Z-olefins or terminal olefins through the intermolecular metathesis. Similarly cyclic olefins are also given from a 1,6-diene or an eneyne through the ring closing metathesis with moderate yield.1) Furthermore, the application of AquaMet as a supported catalyst on mesoporous silica with an affinity between a quaternary ammonium group and silica has been reported.2)

[Featured Products] Curcumin Analogues with Enhanced Antitumor Activities

Curcumin, a dietary constituent of turmeric, has chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic potentials against various types of cancers, but low bioavailability prevents its use in chemotherapeutic applications. GO-Y030 [B4823] and GO-Y078 [H1525] are new synthetic analogues of curcumin, developed by Shibata, Iwabuchi et al. to increase its potential and circumvent its low bioavailability.
