Application

Tubocurarine Chloride: An Acetylcholine Receptor Antagonist Known as a Muscle Relaxant

Tubocurarine chloride is a curare alkaloid known for its use as an arrow poison and a muscle relaxant. Tubocurarine chloride does not cross the blood–brain barrier and has no action on the central nervous system (CNS), and works as an acetylcholine receptor antagonist in in the peripheral nervous system. Tubocurarine chloride plays a large part in experiments to determine the role of acetylcholine in neuromuscular transmission. (The product is for research purpose only.)
