Pyrylium Salt Reagent for Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution Reactions of Amino Heteroaromatic Compounds
Pyrylium tetrafluoroborate [P2823] is used in dehydrative condensation with the amino groups of amino heteroaromatic compounds to form pyridinium salts. Nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction occurs when pyridinium salts are treated with nucleophiles like amines, alcohols, thiols, chlorides, fluorides, etc. The pyridinium salts can be used in a next step simply by concentration, requiring no further purifications. Functional group tolerance is high due to the mild conditions of the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions, making the late-stage functionalization of compounds like medicines possible. Furthermore, P2823 can be used in the conversion of sulfonamides to sulfonyl fluorides.
Ligand for the Synthesis of Biaryl Ethers
N1,N2-Bis(2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)oxalamide [B6291] is an oxalohydrazide type ligand which catalyzes the construction of biaryl ethers by forming a complex with copper salt. In the presence of the copper catalyst, biaryl ethers can be obtained in high yields by using aryl bromides and phenol derivatives as starting materials. The catalytic turnover number (TON) of the reactions is very high, reaching 8000 in some reactions. Furthermore, this reaction is tolerant to a wide variety of functional groups, and it can be utilized in the later step synthesis of biaryl ethers; even the compound can be synthesized. In addition, the synthesis of aryl hydrazines has been reported using aryl bromides and hydrazine monohydrate under similar conditions.
TCI Practical Example: Diels-Alder Reaction Using the Benzyne Precursor
TCI introduces the synthesis of 1,2,3,4-tetraphenylnaphthalene derivative with phenyl[2-(trimethylsilyl)phenyl]iodonium triflate [P1620] as a benzyne precursor and tetraphenylcyclopentadienone as a cyclopentadiene derivative via Diels-Alder reaction and decarbonylation.
TCI Practical Example: Oxidation of a Hydroxy Group Using TPAP
We are proud to present the oxidation of trans-2-phenyl-1-cyclohexanol using TPAP [T1559] as an oxidation catalyst. TPAP can oxidize hydroxy groups in a catalytic amount in the presence of a reoxidant. Additionally, work-up and removal of TPAP can be done easily.
Product Document Searching Made Easy!
We began affixing a 2D code sticker to the top surface of the caps of our product containers.
*Depending on the products, certain items may not contain the sticker.
When the 2D code is scanned by your mobile device, a dedicated web page will open, allowing you to check various documents for the product at hand with a single tap. The information provided will be expanded in the future.
