Application
A Selective Nucleoside Polymerase Inhibitor of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)
(2'R)-2'-Deoxy-2'-fluoro-2'-methyluridine (other name: PSI-6206 or β-D-2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro-2'-C-methyluridine) is a selective nucleoside polymerase inhibitor of hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication that targets the NS5B polymerase. Recently, to improve pharmacokinetic properties for clinical use, some prodrugs of the 5'-phosphate derivative of PSI-6206 have been developed. In addition, PSI-6206 is an active metabolite of PSI-6130 (β-D-2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro-2'-C-methylcytidine).
