Application
3-Aminophenylboronic Acid: A Boronic Acid-Based Inhibitor of β-Lactamases

3-Aminophenylboronic acid is used often as a boronic acid-based inhibitor of β-lactamases which are enzymes produced by some bacteria that provide resistance to β-lactam antibiotics such as penicillins and cephems. β-Lactamase inhibitors provide an effective and safe treatment in combination with β-lactam antibiotics.
