Application
Acacetin: An O-Methylated Flavone with Many Biological Activities
Acacetin is an O-methylated flavone in the traditional Chinese medicine Xuelianhua and many plants as a bioactive compound. Recently, the biological properties of acacetin have been reported, such as anti-peroxidative, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects, and etc. For example, acacetin can show to induce G2/M cell-cycle arrest in human colon cancer cell lines. Acacetin can also suppress ultrarapid delayed rectifier K+ current and other cardiac ionic currents, so preventing atrial fibrillation in an atrium-selective way. (The product is for research purpose only.)
