It has been reported that susceptibility of Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, strain 310a, biofilm to erythromycin decreases as biofilm matures.1) Adding 10 mg/L of the antibiotic reduced biofilm development in the early phase, but it enhanced biofilm development in the mature phase.
