			Ro 31-8220 Mesylate: A Potent, Cell-Permeable Inhibitor of Protein Kinase C (PKC)
		
		Ro 31-8220 mesylate (bisindolylmaleimide IX) is a potent, cell-permeable inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC) isoforms, which is an important element in the signal transduction pathways of a variety of hormones, cytokines, and growth factors.1,2)  In addition, Ro 31-8220 mesylate is inhibits glycogen synthase kinase 3.3)  There are reports, that Ro 31-8220 mesylate inhibits LRRK2 (Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2) –G2019S that is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.4,5)  (The product is for research purpose only.)
