Thiol Group Analysis Reagents
Thiol group analysis reagents are used to quantify thiol groups (SH groups). A representative reagent is 5,5'-dithiobis(2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB), which reacts with SH groups to form a yellow product, allowing quantification by measuring absorbance. DTNB is widely used for detecting trace amounts of thiol groups in biological samples.
