Schisantherin B: A Dibenzocyclooctadiene Lignan with a Variety of Biological Properties
Schisantherin B (another name: gomisin B) is a dibenzocyclooctadiene lignan isolated from Schisandra chinensis fruit which has been used as a traditional herbal remedy to treat deficiency-syndrome. 1,2) It has recently been reported that schisantherin B has a variety of biological properties including anti-neurodegenerative and antidepressant activities. 3,4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
