SB 239063: A Selective p38 Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase (MAPK) Inhibitor
SSB 239063 is a selective p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) inhibitor. It displays greater than 220-fold selectivity for p38 MAPK over other kinases.1) The p38 MAPK has been linked to inflammatory cytokine production and cell death in cellular stress. SB 239063 has been shown to reduce inflammatory cytokine production.1-4)
