Supplemental Product Information:

Product Information

  • Components : Lactate Dye Mixture 1 vial, Lactate Enzyme Mixture 200 µL, Lactate Cofactor Mixture 500 µL, Lactate Assay Buffer 8 mL, Lactate Standard Solution 200 µL
  • Size : 50 tests (96-well plate)

Description

  • Lactate is a metabolite of glycolysis, the primary metabolic pathway in cells, and is a crucial indicator of cellular metabolic status. The quantification of lactate is widely utilised, particularly in cancer research and metabolic analysis. This kit enables straightforward quantification of L-lactic acid in both cell culture supernatants and intracellularly. Lactate concentration in samples can be accurately determined using a calibration curve created with the supplied lactate standard solution. The measurable lactate concentration range is 0.02-1.00 mM; samples exceeding 1.00 mM can be measured after dilution.

Storage

  • Store at 4 °C. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Use within 1 year.

Required Equipment

    • Microplate reader (450 nm filter)
    • 96-well microplate
    • Incubator (37 °C)
    • 0.1% Triton™-X (for intracellular lactate measurement)
    • Ultrafiltration membrane filter (molecular weight cut-off: 10K) (for intracellular lactate measurement)
