A Polycyclic Organic Synthetic Musk, HHCB
1,3,4,6,7,8-Hexahydro-4,6,6,7,8,8-hexamethylcyclopenta[g]-2-benzopyran (HHCB) is a polycyclic organic synthetic musk that is used in some perfumes as a fragrance. HHCB is also used in soaps, cosmetics and detergents. HHCB is removed in wastewaters treatment plant.
