Application
Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF): An Inhibitor of Inosine Monophosphate Dehydrogenase (IMPDH), Needed for the Growth of T Cells and B Cells
Mycophenolate mofetil (abbrev: MMF) is an ester prodrug of the active immunosuppressant mycophenolic acid (MPA)[M2216] . MPA is a noncompetitive, selective and reversible inhibitor of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH), an important enzyme in the de novo synthesis of guanosine nucleotides in T and B lymphocytes. MMF is a widely used component of immunosuppressive regimens in organ transplantation. (The product is for research purpose only.)
