Application
Sarpogrelate Hydrochloride: A Selective 5-HT2 Receptors Antagonist
The serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT) receptors have been divided into seven subfamilies. Among them, 5-HT2 receptors are associated with the contraction of vascular smooth muscle and platelet aggregation. Sarpogrelate hydrochloride (MCI-9042) is a selective 5-HT2 receptors antagonist, which inhibits the 5-HT2 induced platelet aggregation, vasoconstriction and vascular smooth muscle proliferation. (The product is for research use only.)
