Toepassing
Pyridostatin Pentatrifluoroacetate: A Ligand for Stabilization of Guanine Quadruplexes in Cells
Guanine quadruplexes (G4s) are non-Watson-Crick four-stranded nucleic acid structures held together by noncanonical G-G base tetrads. Recent studies indicate their existence in vivo and their involvement in various biological processes.1) Pyridostatin pentatrifluoroacetate (RR82 pentatrifluoroacetate) stabilizes the G4s with high selectivity relative to double-stranded DNA and RNA, and can be used in to inhibit telomerase activity.2) Pyridostatin has been reported to promote growth arrest in human cancer cells by inducing replication- and transcription-dependent DNA damage.3-5) (The product is for research use only.)
