Application
SC-560: A Selective Cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) Inhibitor
SC-560 is a strucutral analog of celecoxib [C2816] and a member of cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitors which includes selective COX-2 inhibitors such as celecoxib and rofecoxib [R0206]. However, unlike these selective COX-2 inhibitors, SC-560 is a selective COX-1 inhibitor. Reportedly, SC-560 causes intestinal hypermotility, bacterial invasion, inhibition of prostaglandin E2 synthesis, etc. In addition, SC-560 suppresses cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in cancer cells in the blood. (The product is for research purpose only.)
