Chiral Aminosulfonamide Catalyst for Asymmetric Carbon-carbon Bond Formation
Experimental procedure2): To a stirred solution of D4663 (5.5 mg, 0.0125 mmol) in NMP (250 µL) are added 1 (0.25 mmol) and 2 (0.5 mmol) in this sequence at room temperature. After stirring for 36 h, the reaction is quenched with water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layers are washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue is roughly purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel to afford 3, which is then acetalized or reduced for determining the enantiomeric excess.
