- Prepare bacterial cells.
- Incubate pellets of the bacterial cells with 8 µg/mL T-Fluor 480 in PBS at room temperature for at least 5 minutes.
- Washing step is not required. Observe the fluorescence of the bacterial cells using fluorescence microscopy or fluorescence spectrophotometer with an emission wavelength at about 480 nm and an excitation wavelength at about 450 nm.
