Transplatin: A Trans-Platinum Complexes for Cancer Research
Transplatin is the inactive trans-stereoisomer impurity of cisplatin [D3371], an antineoplastic agent. However, there are reports that substitution of transplatin ammine ligands with aromatic N-donor heterocycles, branched aliphatic amines, or imino ligands has resulted in compounds with relevant in vitro tumor cell growth inhibitory potency. (The product is for research purpose only.)
