Synthesis of Carbon Nanobelt
Carbon Nanobelt advancements made by TCI:
- For the first time, Carbon Nanobelts have been brought to the market through the use of inexpensive p-Xylene in an 11 step precise organic synthesis.
- One year after the initial synthesis report in 2017, the reaction conditions were optimized. Carbon Nanobelts can now be synthesized in a gram scale.
This product was produced by collaboration with Prof. Kenichiro Itami and Assoc. Prof. Yasutomo Segawa at Nagoya University.
