Application
Spore Germination Inhibitor
L-Alanine (A0179) is one of the amino acids known as a bacterial spore germinant.1) It has been reported that D-alanine failed to trigger spore germination in Clostridium sporogenes or C. botulinum but prevented germination induced by L-alanine.2)
