Finasteride: The First Type2 5α-Reductase Inhibitor
Finasteride, the first type2 5α-reductase inhibitor, blocks the conversion of testosterone [T0027] to 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) [A0462] in target organs such as the prostate and scalp hair.
