Application
Isavuconazole: A Broad-Spectrum Triazole Antifungal Agent
Isavuconazole (BAL4815) is a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent, and has shown in vitro activity against a large number of important yeasts and fungi including Aspergillus and Candida species. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane, through the inhibition of cytochrome P-450 dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase (P45014DM). (The product is for research purpose only.)
