Application
Lipofermata: A Fatty Acid Transport Protein 2 (FATP2) Inhibitor.
Fatty acid transport proteins (FATPs) are bifunctional proteins that transport long-chain fatty acids into cells and activate very long chain fatty acids through esterification with coenzyme A (CoA). There are reports that lipofermata inhibits FTAP2, one of the FATPs, both in vitro using a variety of model cell lines and in vivo using a mouse model, and shows fatty acid transport inhibition. (The product is for research purpose only.)
