NSC 66811: An Inhibitor of MDM2-P53 Protein-Protein Interaction
NSC 66811 is an inhibitor of the murine double minute 2 (MDM2)-p53 protein-protein interaction. MDM2 protein is an oncogenic one, and p53 is a tumor suppressor protein. Reportedly, the p53 is inactivated in many cancer cells through mutations or by its interaction with MDM2 protein. Therefore, recently it is considered that blocking the MDM2-p53 interaction is a novel anticancer strategy. (The product is for research purpose only.)
