Me6TREN: A CXC Chemokine Receptor Type 4 (CXCR4) Antagonist
Me6TREN is also known as an antagonist of CXC chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4), which is a chemokine receptor expressed on immune cells and cancer cells. CXCR4 is activated by its chemokine ligand CXCL12 (also known as SDF-1), and regulates many physiological and developmental processes such as hematopoietic cell trafficking. .CXCR4 is also one of the main co- receptors for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) entry into T cells. Recently, it has been reported that CXCR4 induces migration of cancer cells and is important for processes such as metastasis. Therefore, CXCR4 antagonists are expected to regulate these tumor metastatic processes. (The product is for research purpose only.)
