SB-431542 is a selective inhibitor (or an antagonist) of the transforming growth factor-β superfamily type I (TGF-β type I) receptor kinase. It has been reported that SB-431542 suppresses the proliferation of tumor cells, and evaluates the differential ability of ES and iPS cells.
