Hederacoside C: A Saponin with Anti-Inflammatory Activity
Hederacoside C, α-hederin [H1646], and hederagenin [H1645] are saponins of dry extracts obtained from the leaves of ivy (Hedera helix L.) which has been reported as a new botanical agent for the treatment of acute respiratory infections and chronic inflammatory bronchitis.1-3) Recently, hederacoside C has been reported to have anti-inflammatory activity and may inhibit S. aureus-induced acute lung inflammation.4) (The product is for research use only.)
