Toepassing
Enantioselective intramolecular copper catalyzed C-H insertion of alpha-diazosulfones
Typical procedure (Entry 1): NaBARF (47.8 mg), (R,R)-2,2'-isopropylidenebis(4-phenyl-2-oxazoline) (18 mg) and CuCl (4.5 mg) are added to CH2Cl2 (10 mL). The CH2Cl2 (2 mL) solution of methyl 2-diazo-2-(hexylsulfonyl)acetate (226 mg) is added, and refluxed for 16 h. The solvent is removed under reduced pressure, and the crude product is purified by column chromatography to give 2,3-cis-methyl tetrahydro-3-ethyl-thiopyran-1,1-dioxide-2-carboxylate as a clear oil (132 mg, 66 %, 97 % ee).
