Toepassing
Secnidazole: A Synthetic 5-Nitroimidazole Antibiotic
Secnidazole is a synthetic 5-nitroimidazole antibiotic such as metronidazole [M0924] and tinidazole [T3058]. These antibiotics share a common spectrum of activity against micro-organisms. They possess selective activity against many anaerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and protozoa. And they appear particularly effective in the treatment of, giardiasis, trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis. They can also be used to treat Helicobacter pylori infection. Secnidazole has been reported it as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in hydrochloric acid solution. (The product is for research purpose only.)
