Clevudine: An L-Configuration Thymidine Analog with Antiviral Activity
Clevudine (L-FMAU; 2'-fluoro-5-methyl-β-L-arabinofuranosyluracil) is an unnatural L-configuration thymidine analog with potent anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) activity in vitro and in vivo. There are reports that clevudine interferes with HBV replication by inhibiting the activity of viral DNA polymerase and reverse transcriptase. (The product is for research purpose only.)
