Romifidine: a potent and selective α2-adrenoceptor agonist
Eslicarbazepine acetate (BIA 2-093 or ESL) is a central nervous system (CNS)-active compound with anticonvulsant activity. BIA 2-093 has voltage-gated sodium channel (VGSC) blocking property. BIA 2-093 is metabolized to eslicarbazepine (S-licarbazepine), an active metabolite of oxcarbazepine [O0363], which is responsible for pharmacological activity. BIA 2-093 is used as a third generation antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), and is often used in combination with the other AEDs. (The product is for research purpose only.)
