Nitrendipine: A Vascular-Selective Dihydropyridine Calcium Channel Antagonist
Nitrendipine is a vascular-selective dihydropyridine calcium channel antagonist that causes vasodilatation by blocking the influx of calcium ions through L-type calcium channels in cell membranes. It is an effective antihypertensive agent and differs from other calcium channel antagonists in that it does not reduce glomerular filtration rate and is mildly natriuretic, rather than sodium retentive. (The product is for research purpose only.)
