Norcantharidin (NCTD) is the demethylated analog of a natural terpene, cantharidin [C0019]. NCTD has more powerful antitumor activity but less cytotoxicity than cantharidin itself. NCTD is a protein phosphatase inhibitor that induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, and also blocks tumor metastasis in cancer cells. (The product is for research purpose only.)
