Nifuroxazide: An Antibacterial Agent with STAT3 Inhibitory Activity
Nifuroxazide is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent that has been used for the treatment of infectious diarrhea since 1960’s.1) In 2008, it was discovered that nifuroxazide is a potent inhibitor of the transcription factor STAT3.2) Since then, the potential of nifuroxazide as an anticancer agent has been investigated.3) (The product is for research purpose only.)
